The expansion of the transport fleet with Cityliner trailers is a key project for Geis PL in 2023, which the company plans to develop intensively in the coming months. It is one element of the MissionZero strategy, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 65 per cent between 2020 and 2030 and ultimately achieve climate neutrality.
ContinueThanks to the expansion of export lines from the CEE region and the active cooperation with our sister company Quehenberger, in which Geis took a majority stake last year, our clients' shipments reach their recipients faster and often at a lower cost.
ContinueGrzegorz Lichocik, BEng, PhD has become its new Managing Director. As of the same date, the current Operations Director of Geis PL, Paweł Golec, was appointed as Proxy. These changes come after last year's acquisition of the Austrian company Quehenberger and together clearly demonstrate the dynamism and success of the development of the entire Geis Group.
ContinueNew warehouse space, CityLiner trailers, a 50 per cent drop in complaints - these are Geis PL's key achievements in 2023. The group is expanding in the green transport sector and plans to steadily increase its share of the pallet transport market both in Poland and Europe. ContinueAlthough international transport, especially the transport of goods from Asia and other distant markets, is itself a relatively rigid area, external influences can destabilise it significantly. This was demonstrated not only during the covid pandemic, but also in the Suez Canal accident, under extreme weather conditions and, of course, after the start of the war in Ukraine. The first of them, Renáta Chlebková Benešová, is a CSR specialist at the humanitarian organisation ADRA. Helping is her mission. The second, Kristýna Copková, is a marketing manager at the logistics company Geis. Even though she works for a large multinational company, her heart is in the right place. And she is certainly not afraid of any challenge. But what do they have in common?
ContinueWhat do you know about logistics? Do you think it's moving goods from point A to point B? You're right, but you don't have it. In fact, the actual movement of goods is only part of the industry. What else logistics deals with was the subject of a lecture, during which Geis project manager Jan Jadrníček passed on his experience in warehouse logistics to students of the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Economics in Prague.
